Romanian underground Death Metal joins forces on Unholy Alliance, a split CD bringing together two of the scene’s most promising emerging acts: Malignant Providence and Ephemerality .

Conceived as a collaboration between two young one-man projects sharing a common passion for uncompromising Death Metal, Unholy Alliance delivers a diverse yet cohesive journey through oppressive atmospheres, old school brutality, morbid melodies and savage aggression.

Founded by Andrei Crișan (ex-Ruyned, Sledgehammered, Prăpăd), Malignant Providence channels the spirit of classic acts such as Asphyx, Incantation, Winter, Obituary and Morgoth, while incorporating the cavernous darkness and atmosphere of contemporary bands like Tomb Mold and Fossilization. The material featured on this split offers listeners an early glimpse into the project’s upcoming debut full-length album, alongside exclusive tracks created specifically for this release.

Emerging from the Romanian underground in 2025 as the solo project of Negoiță Ștefan, Ephemerality blends melodic passages with the relentless intensity of traditional Death Metal while exploring themes centered around death, violence, occultism and the darker corners of the human psyche. For Unholy Alliance, the project revisits and reimagines earlier material while hinting towards future musical directions through subtle progressive elements and dynamic songwriting.
